Isaac Dellamorte is an antisocial, hot-headed, insomniac hermit of an artist with poor time management skills and terrible luck. He eeks out his days being angry at the World and having weird, involuntary adventures when all he really wants to do is to finish some art, in the midst of being held back by projects and deadlines for other people in order to pay the bills.
He dreams of fame and glory and more importantly: being able to have the ability to spend the rest of his life away from the World, painting and writing - but even the littlest things never go his way - from irritating and terrible clients, to demons and old gods, supernatural chaos and even were-sandwiches - it seems the entire Universe is opposed to his success and happiness.
So, Isaac has little joy in life but to take this out on the World, hating on everything and everyone he can blame for his own failures and eternally-agitated state.
Though his very life is a curse to himself and others, he may just manage to work things out afterward... and perhaps the Universe has bigger plans for him than he could ever imagine.
Chased by imps, mad scientists, cops, crazed deities, and ex-girlfriends - with a young homonculus for a sidekick and an unholy horror for a pet, Isaac begins to find that life isn’t all that bad
...even when you're dead.
